Patrick Dietz

Patrick Dietz works with CALI for the last seven years as head coach in man´s and woman´s volleyball program. We are very happy to have him with us as Head coach and recruiting coordinator.

Patrick Dietz currently serves as head men's volleyball coach at St. Josephs College, Brooklyn. He brings over 15 years of volleyball coaching experience to Clinton Hill—both men and women, from club to collegiate. No stranger to the Skyline Conference, he served for five seasons, four as head men's volleyball coach from 2003-2005 & 2013, at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Over his first stint with the Dolphins, he guided the squad to national prominence, receiving top-15 rankings in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) coaches poll in each of the three seasons, rising as high as No. 11 in 2005 and helped develop two-time All-American Phil Gallagher.
Currently, the Rockaway native is completing his first season as assistant coach of the Division I St. Francis College Brooklyn women's volleyball team, helping to develop a squad that more than doubled their win total from 2014 under second-year head coach Abra Rummel.
Dietz also served at the helm of the Division II women's volleyball teams at Bloomfield College (2004) and Concordia College (2009-10).

In between his stops at Bloomfield and Concordia, he returned to coach the men's and women's teams at his alma mater, New York City College of Technology. A standout player for the Yellow Jackets, Dietz was a two-time All-CUNYAC and All-NECVA honoree, named NECVA Offensive Player of the Year in 2000 and led the nation in kills per set in both 1999 and 2000.
He inherits a Bears squad that will enter the Skyline Conference in 2016, fresh off a 10-10 mark last season in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference—their first 10-win and .500 season in program history.
